“Can we use your products for flooring as well?” That was the question of the Amsterdam-based studio for interior architecture, Studio Rian Knop when they first approached us.
The studio, known for its distinct interiors, was in the process of designing a new office space for a leading tech company based in Amsterdam.
We did have some experience using WasteBasedBricks® as flooring, but not on this scale, and not for a client that is quickly becoming an impactful worldwide player in their field. But we love a good challenge!
After running additional tests to make sure the product would perform well in the new office, we sent our Blackpepper bricks to the ‘floor man’ who cut them into thin slices of 210 x 50 x 15 mm.
